Crisis
Crisis is the turning point of uncertainty and tension resulting from earlier conflict in a plot.
There's a whole lot of conflict and uncertainty in Frankenstein but the crisis is probably when Victor destroys the body of his second creature. He had been on the fence about the whole thing up until that moment and it was in that moment that the monster had truly waged war against Victor. They both snapped and then the rest of the book just goes downhill for both of them. |
